Books Before Balls Foundation is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to advancing educational equity for students with learning disabilities, ADHD, and other learning differences. Our approach is designed to meet the needs of every child—whether it's through personalized academic tutoring, special education advocacy, or legal resources. We combine these services to ensure students receive the support they need not just academically, but emotionally and socially. Our focus is on empowering students and families to navigate the educational system, break down barriers, and secure the resources necessary for long-term success. By offering in-person and virtual tutoring, hands-on STEM enrichment, and expert advocacy, we are building a community where every child can thrive, no matter the challenges they face.
Literacy & Academic Support Programs
Our literacy & academic support programs provide students with essential tools to build strong academic foundations through book distribution, reading clubs, tutoring, and homework support. By prioritizing literacy and core academic skills, we help students strengthen comprehension, confidence, and consistency—laying the groundwork for success before activities take center stage.
Youth Mentorship & Life Skills Development
Our youth mentorship & life skills development programs focus on guiding students beyond academics by building discipline, time management, goal setting, and character. Through positive mentorship, students develop the habits and mindset needed to balance school responsibilities, personal growth, and future aspirations with confidence and purpose.
Community & School Partnerships
Through community & school partnerships, we collaborate with schools, families, and local organizations to deliver meaningful programs and resources that drive lasting impact. These partnerships allow us to extend our reach, strengthen sustainability, and create a supportive educational ecosystem that ensures every child receives consistent, coordinated support.

Books Before Balls Foundation was born from a personal journey of educational instability and a passion for advocacy. Our founder’s own experiences of educational disruption and challenges with learning differences inspired a deep commitment to helping children who face similar struggles. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive support system for students with learning disabilities, ADHD, and other learning differences by offering individualized academic tutoring, STEM enrichment, and special education advocacy. We are dedicated to ensuring every student—regardless of their circumstances—has access to the resources, support, and empowerment needed to succeed. By focusing on both education and advocacy, we not only help students in the classroom but ensure their families are equipped to advocate for the IEP and 504 services their child requires. Through these efforts, we strive to create a world where every child has the opportunity to thrive academically and beyond.
